Job Description

**This position is temporary; work as needed**

The Access Coordinator I, II and III meets, greets, and assists the
public, answers telephones, coordinates appointments, referrals,
consults, tests and/or procedures, check-in and registers patients,
check-out and collects payments and issues receipts, verifies insurance
coverage and responds appropriately to the requirements of third- party
payers, assists with coordinating hospital admissions and surgery
scheduling.

Minimum Qualifications:

Access Coordinator I - High School diploma OR GED. Computer/basic
keyboard skills, telephone etiquette skills, telephone etiquette skills
and general knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners
required. Must have excellent customer service skills. Knowledge in
basic medical terminology preferred.

Access Coordinator II - High school diploma OR GED plus 2 years customer
service or healthcare experience. Computer/basic keyboard skills,
telephone etiquette skills and general knowledge of office machines
including printers and scanners required. Knowledge in basic medical
terminology and registration experience preferred.

Access Coordinator III - High School Diploma OR GED plus 3 years'
experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare
environment. Computer/basic keyboard skills, telephone etiquette skills
and general knowledge of office machines including printers and
scanners. Knowledge in basic medical terminology and registration
experience is required. CHAA Certification preferred.

Salary: $22,984 - $29,640
